Alice in Wonderland - School Production.
The children have started rehearsing songs and looking at the script for our upcoming production. Year 3/4 children will be putting on the production of Alice next term and we can't wait to get underway with our rehearsals.
Blenheim Palace - Prize giving
Children from Eagles classes won a group award for the Winston Churchill work that we sent off to Blenheim Palace. Megan won an individual prize for her gorgeous art work. As a reward for all our hard work, one child from each class went with Miss Rodgers and Mrs Tustin to Blenheim Palace for afternoon tea. We enjoyed a lovely day out, accepting a prize from the Duchess of Marlborough and viewing the children's art work on display in the education room at Blenheim Palace.
Those who stayed behind had a jolly good time too as we hosted an afternoon tea party in the hall with lovely scones baked by the children and Mrs Miles. The children dressed in ties and bows that they made themselves. A lovely day was had by all.
This term our theme is 'Into the Wild' we are enjoying looking at non chronological reports and learning about various animals.
This term the Eagles classes will be learning about the story of the 'Snow Queen'. We are very excited about the fantastic wintery term ahead. We hope you all enjoyed the half term and are well rested ready to begin!
NO PENS DAY WEDNESDAY!
We had a fantastic day. We participated in activities involving art, building shapes and drama.
We all had a fantastic trip to Blenheim Palace and have improved our Winston Churchill knowledge. We enjoyed sketching the Palace, a tour of the Palace and an afternoon in the 'Pleasure Gardens'. Lots of fun, laughter and learning occured.
Roald Dahl Day -13/9/17
The children in Eagles had a great day yesterday. They were lucky enough to be a part of an online stream with other schools across the country to celebrate Roald Dahl's Birthday.
We saw Quentin Blake illustrate a character from 'Billy and the Minpins' and the children had a go at drawing along.
