Our theme this term is 'Flow'

Pull on your wellies and wade right in...

How deep does it go and how fast does it travel?

What soil types can you find by the riverside?

Which animals make their homes there?

Let's go down to the river bank and find out!


Let's meander through the world of rivers, taking a dip in to their watery world!


We will be learning all about rivers. Our writing will be based around a range of texts, including 'The Wind in the Willows'.

Tribal Tales - Term 6



We are going back in time to Prehistoric Britain to the times of Stone, Bronze and Iron ages.  Imagine what life would have been like 5,000 years ago.  What might you have seen around you?  We will be learning about how the people of Britain developed over time and finding out about ancient objects and mystical monuments.

Our theme for last term was


It's time to take a walk on the wild side.Find out who's coming to it a bug munching lizard or an eagle-eyed bird of prey.  Whatever it is, do you think you can handle it?


We will be finding out about many sorts of predators and the prey they hunt. Food chains and nutrition will form part of our science work.  Towards the end on the theme we will be making 3D predators!!

Look out for a letter about a trip to Batsford Falconry centre where we will be meeting birds of prey and seeing them in flight.





Our Fantastic visit to The Cotswold Falconry Centre! We loved meeting and learning about all the amazing birds of prey.

Spring Term 2

Misty Mountain Sierra


This term our theme is called Misty Mountain Sierra.  We will be finding out how amazing mountains are formed.



We will follow the water cycle's course from peak to valley and meet the exceptional tribes of the Himalayas. Beware! We will be following the huge footsteps of a...Yeti!!

Our class story will be The Abominables by Eva Ibbotson where we will be meeting a young explorer and a gigantic hairy monster!


Spring Term 1





Our theme this term is Mighty Metals.  We will be exploring the Scientific world of at metals, materials, forces and magnetism. We will be thinking about forces at work on play equipment, explaining why magnets repel and attract and finding ways of making metals look shiny and new.  Towards the end of the term we will be focusing on a D.T project based on The Iron Man which will also be the focus of our English and Dance.

Please note that our inside P.E lesson is Wednesday and our outside P.E lesson is Thursday.  Please ensure that correct kit is in school.

is our new theme for this term.  We will be discovering foods and tasting fantastic fruits, venerable vegetables and tantalising treats - sounds yummy!

Be prepared to get creative in the kitchen, entertain us with nonsense poetry and find out where your food comes from.

Our theme for Autumn Term 1 was Romans!

Roman/Celtic Work by Imperial Class

I am warrior!

I am strong, brave and powerful.  Meet me in battle.  Draw your sword, wield your axe and challenge me if you dare!  Invade and attack, Romans versus the Celts... so Imperial Class if you are ready... we will learn all about the Romans.

Be prepared to learn all about The Roman Empire, mosaics, jewellery, shields and helmets, Roman food and much more.



Our P.E days are Tuesday and Wednesday so please make sure your P.E kits are in school.
