READ ALL ABOUT IT..........
For the next 2 weeks we are going to be learning all about newspaper reports. We will be learning the features of a good newspaper report and writing our very own.
To start this half term we are going to be learning about keeping healthy especially our teeth. We will be learning all about what teeth we have and why.
Our theme last term was... Potions!
Potion: a poison, a mixture, an aromatic brew, a vapour, a liquid or a sticky goo.
Welcome to the amazing magical world of potions and their properties.
Now scientists beware! There are some powerful and deadly potions out there - dangerous, unpredictable or plain tragic (just ask Romeo and Juliet!)
The main focus for our topic is Science and English and most of our work will be based around the book of George's Marvellous Medicine.
Our theme last term was Traders and Raiders.
Big and strong, powerful and brave, the Saxons wave their battle axes and brandish their swords as they begin to invade Britain's shores.
Sail back to the Dark Ages, where battles were rife and fear reigned. Find out about the life of the Saxons, including how they lived and where they came from. Meet the bloodthirsty Vikings from Scandinavia - never before had such terror swept the land.
Are you ready to shine a light on the dangerous and deadly Dark Ages...?
Our theme last term was... FLOW
Pull on your wellies and wade right in...
How deep does it go and how fast does it travel?
What soil types can you find by the riverside?
Which animals make their homes there?
Let's go down to the river bank and find out!
Let's meander through the world of rivers, taking a dip in to their watery world!
We will be learning all about rivers. Our writing will be based around a range of texts, including 'The Wind in the Willows'.
