Welcome to Kestrel class.

Welcome back!

Our first theme this year is....

Scented Garden

We're going to use our senses the discover the blooming foliage and enchanting fragrances of flowers and herbs. We may even go for a visit to a local garden centre to explore lots of different plants, flowers and herbs!

Let's take a look at what Kestrel got up to last year.....

Our final theme this year is called bounce. We are going to be investigating animals that bounce, balls that bounce and linking it to the Olympics.....can you think of any sports that involve a bounce???

Our RE big question this term is.....

Was Moses a good leader?

This will lead us into looking at aspects of Judaism.

Here's a reminder of what we've done so far....

Wriggle and Crawl.

Let's get hunting.

A new theme for Spring 2:

Muck, Mess and Mixtures.......

Get your aprons at the ready as we're mixing and creating some fantastic mixtures and making a right jolly mess!

What happens when we mix potions from the bathroom cupboard? Do they bubble or do they end up by simply looking like a pile of gloop???

Our RE big question this term....

Why are some people leaders?

Who are these people and what do or did they lead?

A new year and a new theme!

Dinosaur Planet

What are these dinosaurs called?

Stomp, crash, RRRAGH! Watch out everyone - the dinosaurs are on the prowl.

We are exploring dinosaur planet, pretending we are palaeontologists and discovering dazzling dinosaur facts.

Which dinosaurs do you know?

We are looking at a theme titled:

Bright Light, Big City!!

We are stepping back in time to see what really happened in the Great Fire of London. Where did it start? How did it end?

Along the way we are visiting London landmarks. What happened at the Tower of London?

What are all these famous London landmarks?

Last term our theme was 'Beachcombers.' We collected things from our holidays for our display.

We had great fun looking at what might be hiding in rock pools or swimming in the ocean.

What a beautiful beach......wish we were there!!

Our RE question last term..
