Can we explore it?

This time of year is perfect for exploring and noticing all the changes that happen around us.  We will be visiting a special garden, the garden center and going to a local supermarket to see where our food comes from.

We will also be reading stories related to growing like 'Jack and the beanstalk'!

How does that building stay up?

We have been watching all of the builders doing their important work around school and they have asked us to help them!  We will be encouraging lots of independent writing and maths by supplying: clipboards, pens, notebooks, diaries, architect plans, tape measures, scales and different length materials.  We will be reading the 'Three little pigs' and seeing if it can inspire some of our learning.

Did Dragons Exsit?

This term is set to be very exciting!  We will be reading fairy tales as well as making up our own tales of adventure.

Winter Wonderland

Welcome Back!

We are so excited to be back after our lovely holiday break.  We have already heard all about everyones Christmas presents and holiday adventures.

This term is all about winter.  We have already had an urgent letter from Eric Eight asking us to help him.  He is so worried about melting, he needs to know what season it is and where he can go to stay frozen.

This term we are going to be focusing on using all of our phonic knowledge to write words and even sentences!  In numeracy we are going to be adding and subtracting (lots of counting up to 20 and back to 0 becasue those teen numbers are really tricky).

It has been so great to have had all of the mums and dads in to visit us.  We have loved reading all of your feedback and hope that you enjoyed looking at your childs work.  frown

We are launching our class blog this week so please have a look and getting back to us with any improvements.  Here is the link:
