Our theme for summer term 6 is: Scream Machine

Roll up, roll up! You're going on a day trip to a theme park to soak up the unique sights, smells and sounds of the fair.

Learn about the science behind roller coasters and write poems that are shaped as a loop the loop. Design your own theme park and work out the costs of creating and running a theme park.

Testing, testing! Time for some mini investigations. Cam mechanisms, pendulums, pulleys and prototypes. Let's go behind the scenes to see forces at work.

Good news! The engineers at 'Scream Towers' love your work and want you to build a death-defying new drop ride for a theme park. Make a working model and test it out with uncooked eggs. Cracking stuff!

Okay, ready to ride? Don't forget to scream if you want to go faster!

Our theme for this term is: A Child's War

Our attention this term will turn to WW2. We will be investigating the life of a child during the war; evacuating children, reading extracts from Anne Frank's diary, school life and make do and mend meals/presents.

Of course we will also be focusing on revising for SATs as we approach them.

Our theme for spring term 4 is: Darwin's Delights

Ship ahoy! We're off on an exciting expedition with Charles Darwin and his crew on HMS Beagle.

We will stop at the magical Galapagos Islands to see the amazing species that helped Darwin develop his theory of evolution by natural selection.

Do you know what's so special about a lava lizard? Or why the blue-footed booby has blue feet? We will look at how animals adapt to their environment over time and meet some of the world's greatest explorers and naturalists!

Don't forget our visit from the Zoo Lab on Wednesday 25th February... Watch this space for photos and information about our exciting visitors!

World Book Day!

We will be dressing up as our favourite book characters on Thursday 5th March so get creative and don't forget to bring your book in with you!

We will also be having extra Maths & Science lessons throughout this term as we look towards SATs!

Frozen Kingdom

Our new theme this term is....Frozen Kingdom...we will be exploring the deserted ice kingdoms in world such as the; Antarctica and the Arctic!

Our new theme is Identity! We are exploring what makes us, us! Keep coming back to see what's been happening in Ural! Updates soon!
