Managing Behaviour
Vision
At St. David's we have our vision at the core of everything we do for pupils and for all staff members; Our school’s Christian foundation guides, challenges and inspires every child to reach their full potential as they become life-long learners and confident citizens, equipped to lead and serve. As a school we look to the teachings of the Bible to underpin our ethos: 1 Peter 4:10a
‘Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.’
Aims
• To shape behaviours and experience through relationship that are rewarding and regulating.
• The starting point and the primary goal in all our connections ought to be the relationship
itself.
Be Ready, Be Safe and Be Respectful
The Christian values which anchor us are linked to the school rules, ‘Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe’ (The 3Bs)
The 'St. David's Way' anchors us all. We model the model, living the values of 'enquiring minds, caring hearts and creative hands' through behaviours that show we are Ready, Respectful and Safe
We understand that everyone in our school community has the right to feel safe, seen, soothed and secure regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs, no child or group of children will be treated less favourably than others in being able to access services which meet their needs. Everyone can feel anchored in our school environment in order to develop a sense of belonging to St. David’s.
