Kwik cricket tournament

On Tuesday 3rd June two teams from St. David’s School took part in a kwick cricket tournament at Bourton Vale Cricket Club. Luckily the weather stayed fine and the children enjoyed playing against teams from Fairford, Cold Aston and Bourton-on-the-Water Primary Schools.

St. David’s B team were up against stiff competition, losing out to Cold Aston’s A team. However St. David’s A team managed to get through to the final. Excellent cricket skills were observed with Martha  Robbins and Alfie Townely both making  great catches. Mike Clare’s batting was sensational and St. David’s A team demonstrated excellent skills and superb sporting behaviour. Despite a great effort from our players Cold Aston won a place in the County finals.

Well done to everyone who took part – a great afternoon of cricket was enjoyed by all.
