New round-up

Our new themes across the school are well and truly underway, offering the children first-hand experiences and engaging learning opportunities. Children in Years 1 and 2 have been spending a lot of time outdoors exploring the trees in our school ground as part of their topic ‘The Enchanted Woodland’. The theme will include a party in the woods, meeting a real beady-eyed owl and building a teeny tiny home for a woodland fairy! Children in Years 3 and 4 have been looking at teeth and will be investigating how much plaque is left on our teeth after we have brushed them – yuk! A memorable experience took place for children in Years 5 and 6 when they pretended to be evacuees during WW2. The children then considered their own feelings and how children during this period felt.
